Regarless of how much you charge them, you're encouraging a very bad business practice. Basically you're letting them get away with what they did.
I interviewed for a company that had a codebase they "obtained", but with no documentation or anything. They said they couldn't do anything with it and that it was up to me. Turned down offer right away. -
Also had this issue before, client offered to pay a bit more than usual in freelance costs. However they were actually trying to scam everyone (me, my old employer, their own upper management etc.)
Best to just let some things go. Give them a taste of their own medicine. If they dont learn their lesson, they will just do it again in the future to others. -
People had paid time during lunch? Honestly, I never heard of anyone in tech having such a thing.
You clock out, eat, come back (if you can) and clock in, and do more work to recover the time you lost during lunch. -
Try copying the android/browserName folder to different phone.
See what can be recovered.
Not sure this works, its just a guess. But it might be worth the shot. -
As an insane I find that offensive (jk). Aditionally, what makes you think you have what it takes to join our group? Also, what are your qualifications? Any recent recommendations?

@BordedDev a new GPU plug? Do you mean the cable you plug in the GPU from the PSU. NVidia changed it again?
-
@tosensei yea I get it now. Thank God I never had to deal with TFVC
-
@tosensei TFVC also known as VSTS? Why call it Git when you can make an acronym of 4 letters?
-
@null-pointer-ex agreed, you run into such issues when running stuff mac isnt optimized for.
I assume you have M2 with 32GB and 1TB storage?
Also, when you run into such issues, they probably mean that you are using it wrong:
- if you use dual screen they ask why not only use 1 screen
- if you use IntelliJ they ask why not use xcode or whatev -
Don't worry, AI is coming. All this will soon be fixed.
-
I suggest formatting your machine. Then write 0s to the disk. Reinstall Windows. Last but not least, never use Teams again.
In short kill it with fire -
Unpopular opinion: we as men, need to understand that this concept of hotty is fake.
But sure, nice one for the lolz -
@tosensei that is a good point
-
@azuredivay there's always that one user that wants to bring the bug/spam back. its worse when the bug is a requirement for his use case
-
i think they just bully the devs they appoint with the hardest tasks. and then management has to deal with finding someone else and so round and round it goes.
-
Love this site as well. Also, thanks for contributing to it and keeping it free of spam

You don't need a degree only if you follow YouTube logic

People usually say "stop bringing that stuff up. It was a long time ago."

Why not kikifarms?

@Ouya your school forces you to use Mac? Wow..
I only hears of schools that forced Mac users to use Windows
Do they provide any support in case something doesnt work on your ARM-based Mac? -
Happy teams start "to migrate from" Jira to anything else (even paper sticky notes)
-
Sad to hear that about the M2. Is it the Air or the Pro?
Just setup an external SSD and move the swap to that.
Oh and another one for TimeMachine.
With this setup a regular desktop would have been cheaper -
Good luck and bon courage!
-
Recently found a french magazine for it stuff. Can't remeber the name though

Good old Dreamweaver

You have too much money.
-
I think it's safe to assume the person you talked to is spreading false info to appear well-informed. There's a lot of that going on.

Nice, where I'm from we haven't passed the 2.5 Gb cap yet. Did you find any uses for the max internet speed?
