Hey people!
I need your brains!
I have this project, maybe you can help me with some ideea on how to implement it.
So, I need to read a lot of rfids. A lot. 100+ (It should work with any number of readers).
Next to the reader should be some leds to indicate a status.
Think of it as a matrix or readers. it should support x * y rows / columns
So, let's call it a node (the reader plus the leds).
Now, I have no ideea on how to link all those nodes to a raspberry pi.
For few it would be kinda easy, but when it goes to 100, I don't really know how to link all those together.
I was thinking about a cheap arduino to read the rfid and deal with the leds.
But I don't know how to link (in a bidirectional method) 100 arduinos to a rpi.
So, if you have any ideeas, that would be great.
Thanks!6 -
Don't just copy stuff from the internet and use it without knowing what it does.
If someone says to run rm -rf to save space, first search what rm does, and why you need the rf flags.
That will save you from a lot of problems.
I know a guy that does that, copy the first answer from SO, then runs it -.-3 -
Is it ok to hate your old code?
I always say to myself "WTF is this? There's a better way of doing this" when I have to make some changes to some older project.
But, I see it as a good thing, it means that I've improved a bit since then.3 -
I knew someone that typed with only 2 fingers ( index fingers )
There were no comments in the code because, it would take ages to write a sentence.
I don't know how someone that was born with a laptop in her lap doesn't know how to use all the fingers to type.
But, for her this was just a job. No personal projects, no will to learn new things. Just do the work they give her, as slowly as possible.
I remember I forced myself to learn how to type using all fingers when I was little. Now I even rebind the movement keys on games because is more comfortable to use "the right keys" ( I hate wasd, esdf ftw!)
How about you, do you know anyone that-s bad at typing?11 -
Greetings guys and gals.
I found an old laptop of mine and since I don't really use it anymore, I want to try "the linux" on it.
My question is, what's a nice linux distribution to make the windows transition smoother.
I have a vps so I'm not afraid to use the terminal.
I just want vscode and a browser on it, no gaming, no video editing, nothing fancy.
Thanks12
