thanks for your input
That CAN bus looks promising
I don't know about wifi, the readers are not that far away
It only needs to send / receive few messages per second, maybe less, so traffic is not really a problem -
I hate April fool's "jokes". It-s fun for 5minutes, but after that it gets annoying.
And it's so predictable. It won't fool you if you know it's coming.
I'm not fun at parties :< -
You shouldn't care who made the tool, as long as it does the job, I'll use it.
-
I say get one of those unmanaged vps, you can find some cheap ones with good specs.
You have root access, and can do whatever you want with it.
But, it's bare. You have a minimal control panel (reboot, wipe and reinstall the os), the rest is left to you.
But, it's great for learning. You screw something up, wipe, reinstall, and in 5 min you're ready to try again. -
Maybe there are other components on the pi2 that can't handle higher speeds.
And maybe it's cheaper to buy a single component in bulk and just downgrade for the lesser product. -
How do you tag someone?
@three333? Just write the name in front of @? -
Well, our brain can't really do paralel work. It does only one task at a time, but it switched between them fast enough to seem like multitasking.
But, it's not a bad advice. When you're new, there's so much information you have to process. -
Apt list will list all packages (installed or not)
Apt list --installed will list only installed stuff. -
Or add a tldr at the top , that way everyone will be happy
-
Well, it's not wrong. Those are bikes.

Aren't the people from Prolexic the real heroes?
Github just routed their traffic trough them. -
It's small, it's fast, it loads pages.
For most people it's enough. -
Speaking of Chrome and ram, I have the bad habit of leaving tabs open all over the place.
From time to time the PC feels a little slow, then I'll check the task manager, and no surprise, Chrome is using all my ram.
That's a great reminder to close some tabs. -
I think I got an plaintext password once from a bank.
-
That too.
It looks so uncomfortable to type with long nails. -
Isn't apple already listening on everything you say for Siri?
Or any device that has a "wake up on keyword" feature -
Thanks for the sugestinos.
I've installed Linux Mint, i'll use it for a while.
let's see how long it takes for me to break something. -
I'll give mint a try then.

@linuxxx i3, 8G ram

Now he will expect all project to be done in 1/10 of the initial time.

I'm curious, what's wrong with spaces?
I don't really like tabs because it seems that every editor has it's own interpretation on how wide a tab is. And it bugs me. -
Be curious. If you search for something and find a snipped of code that does what you want, don't just copy / paste it blindly, try and figure it what that code really does, and how it does it.
Documentation is your friend. -
I don't really care about birthdays.
I don't really care about the fake birthday wishes from people who know about it from Facebook.
I don't really care about people pretending that the day is something special.
I don't need a special day, I would enjoy it more without all that hassle.
