I agree with @kb88 , at my.company we're using dialogflow.
However you have a ton of possibilities for NLP algos, and its really cool to build by yourself! -
I call that "Collaborative illusion", i'll be writing an article on medium soon enough, will share it with you. ;) (I love ranting about that <3)

Contact a chatbot agency man :P (discalimer: i own one in france)
-
Fuck man noooo, seriously? Gonna check my servers.. how the hell can this happen so often?
-
@redstonetehnik no, sorry mate
-
Use UUIDs in front of your string. The probabiloty of collision is infinitely small (not mathematically speaking).
You could do
UUID∅yourString∅
∅ being some special char you don't use in the string..
I'm sure there has to be a simpler way :P -
@exelix yeah, tried it it made a <SYMLINK> file or something like that. Fucked up git (it went crazy telling that remote did not exist wtf, repaired when i deleted the symlink file) and sublime text did not recognize the link...
-
@divil i tried but nothing happened... I would try on windows native bash but I fear breaking something now :P
-
I really like the coding train. Sometimes really basic stuff, but sometimes good algos (i loved his genetic algo playlist) (warning : javascript)
-
@oscarascal tous les lundis
-
Yeah, same here for cookie and cache policy on Amazon cloudfront. I had to tweak my own headers to provide the exact policy I meant to use
-
Tbh I don't really mind being part of the training data as long as i'm warned about it. If they say something like "Our automated algo removed this document for t&c infringement. If you think this is an error please click here", I'd more than happy to write.

Okay, managed to build the integration, however Dialgoflow's recognition performance is really awful. Works on google home and google assistant on phone. I guess I'll be deploying for validation in the next week or so.

@C0D4 ive seen many rants about npm times! God, i don't know what these people are downloading!
We've litteraly built a big framework and have less than 10 deps (of which 5 are for express) -
@Dacexi i could on messenger or any other messagung platform, actions on google is HTTP response based, there is no route for sending messages. :( I hate their API as Ive stated many times in many social networks :P
-
@CompileNix thanks!!

Omg, how did pwapps get so fancy all of a sudden! I remember devving "pre-pwapps" when ios added their meta tags, then came service workers!
Its a great technology, I love it! It actually makes a lot more sense than just web apps!
I wish you the greatest learning this tech ;) -
Laptop. dell inspiron 7548, i7/16gb ram/250 SSD + AMD M270.
Editor: sublime
Workflow: windows + posh git + nodejs + chrome (simple enough)
Motivation: star wars music + spotify -
@jAsE for the moment just simple features, reading the last X rants, reading rants from tags etc.. nothing fancy.
Sadly you can't create reminders from bots on google assistant, i would love tohave google home saying "hey Jo, jAsE tagged you in a comment on devRant, would you like me to read it?" -
@jAsE you think so? I'm thinking of getting some spare time to dev it ;)
-
CTRL+Shift+P on sublime, can do almost anything with that thing (same functionality has since then been added to chrome console!)
-
@CurseMeSlowly nice! Do you have a CTO? I've been looking for somewhere to complain about how things are working internally, think devRant is a perfect choice.
He can't event realize that sometimes putting a ! In front of his if condition would simplify his spaghetti code by loads -
@CurseMeSlowly meaning you did the same? :p
-
@CurseMeSlowly meaning you did the same? :p
-
@jAsE yeah only I miss coding and having fun a little. Other than that I'm not complaining
-
To be honest, i've seen extremely helpful voice assistants in a conference room (and Amazon is putting a lot of effort into marketing echo dot for enterprises). They can setup meetings, change room reservations, display slides and more.
And to be fair, echo dot and home mini do have a mic off feature (i'm just hoping it actually turns it off) -
@JS96 Maybe, just maybe, floridaman possesses 400 000 computers each with a different connection downloading at the average speed, then it would take him 23 days.
-
Make a simple api where we can shoot our locations !!
-
I never really thought that someone could make replicated dbs pass as blockchain ^^°
As for AI : marketing 101 :P
