I pay $90/month for 150 m/sec, and it craps out every time the wind blows, Nevermind when it's snowing... Maybe I should move to Romania!
-
The 404 error is what's broken? Hehe
-
I just want the jager...
-
I got a refurbished one... Same manufacturer warrantee, a lot less $$
-
Most importantly, do you pronounce it "bay-gal" or "bag-el"?
-
Linter / good IDE may have helped a bit. There's also a font that is allegedly easier to read for individuals with dyslexia.
I'm fortunate enough to not have it, just throwing these things out there with the hope it helps someone. -
@donkeyScript Most of the time was in Medford and Jamaica plain, went to school in Somerville. It hasn't been too long, but man oh man have things changed, lol.
-
@donkeyScript most of my jobs have been in / near Merrimack, nh, but i grew up in Boston and it had the same feeling when I was there.
-
@LiquorFueled If it's your first job, stick it out for a couple years and move on. Otherwise, time to find a better one. Most companies don't offer you less than what you're currently making.
-
At most companies, the most efficient way of getting a raise is by getting another job, unfortunately.
-
NO, CHROME, I DON'T WANT YOU TO SAVE THE HTML, IT'S JUST A NERVOUS TWITCH!
-
@Cube189 I'm actually using atom right now. I really like it, but will probably go back to vs code at some point. one thing I miss about webstorm is have the Karma test runner built in, no finding a million plug ins.
-
@Batdroid It's garbage because the Pokemon go tos grants rights to the users for their own generated content... if I may put on my tin foil hat: this is why massive companies shouldn't be able to control the distribution of content!
-
replied to the email. They have an appeal process, but it's just filling out a form, they don't allow for any back and forth.
-
@Batdroid I literally gave up. You don't get to talk to a real person, just canned responses over and over...
-
I'm wondering the same thing. I'm interested to see what others think.
-
I'm a Xamarin weekend warrior, what's up? I'll try to help if I can.
-
I freaked when I found out ctrl + shift + s is sometimes "save file as" instead of "save all files".
-
@Jumpshot44 Possibly. I have my doubts about our IT group though. they actually have software installed via group policy that prevents us from compiling. We have to turn it off, reboot, then we're supposed to compile, turn it on and reboot again... They didn't think that'd be a big deal.
-
This is starting to make my head hurt, but I felt the need to contribute a comment anyways.
-
@AshMountDigger Terrible machines, not terrible programming. My point is that it's a casino and by design will take as much money from me as I allow.
-
See if you can help with phone screens or the interview process in general. I've met some extraordinary, talented individuals, but I've also met just as many that have given my ego a good boost. I no longer suffer from the imposter syndrome.
-
Rumor has it they may be shutting down soon.
-
@DeveloperACE Ha! maybe they're right to try to keep me away then. :-p
-
There's a few other lines in there that are, in my opinion, pretty pretentious. If the store's search algorithm takes ratings into account, I highly doubt an "armature hour" app will be next to one of your prince of programmer's apps.
-
OCD, though you wouldn't know by my constant typos and bugs. OCD is a lot different from how it's portrayed in movies (much like schizophrenia)... programming has effectively replaced my less pleasant obsessions.
-
this is reposted about 3 rants above. bug?
-
@sylar If you have time to review every application, you have time to respond, even if it's a simple template.
-
@StefanH In all fairness, most of the others do this too. :) I think vs code is faster and easier to use though.
-
@rookiepatty I have a webstorm license, and have actually started using VS Code. The beta was terrible, but it rocks now.
