@tahnik about Ubuntu, I agree, but not Linux in general. Linux will always be faster when you choose so. As for other reasons, we have more customization options, more room for experimentation and also the possibility to avoid proprietary software completely.
Macs may be fast enough for everyday use by everyday users, but try compiling a behemoth like LLVM, Chrome or Servo and compare the time to a laptop in the same price range. -
@OrestH yeah, but it's also shit :D
-
How could he dump C++ for Java? How could anyone dump anything for Java?

Everything apple is a piece of shit. Except their maps. The maps are also hilarious

@Neo- I also considered the possibility, but since there are people of varying knowledge and age on DevRant, I opted to answer, just to be sure

C -> Awesome; Bing - Why?

@ninjatini can I use my own init or window manager? Can I boot into single-user mode? Can I update every single-piece of software, kernel included, on demand with a single command? Can I get multiple copy/paste buffers? Use a different file system than the default one?
If all answers are yes, then I will consider them equal. I don't actually know that much about macos, just pinpointed where I think might be some weak points 😀 -
@nielsen192 *to ruin your business

@kraator it is also a retarded piece of code :D kudos for making it work though
