What was the local time? I feel like it was 2 am and netflix thought you'd like a horror film
-
@BlueNutterfly maybe antispam
-
where was that guy who said they'd introduce a module out of codebase to avoid peer reviews on merges? i think you would like to talk with them
-
@vlord lmao we should be thankful that windows doesn't see itself as a bloatware and delete itself
Have you tried cleaning %TEMP%, which linux does automatically? -
@Demolishun may he rest in peace in dog heaven.
-
@C0D4 you can't spell c[ul]thulu without spelling cult!
-
Computer are rocks. We tortured them with furnaces until they learned how to use electricty to "think"
-
@b2plane i think you should directly go apply to this https://twitter.com/Zoe_r_Jay/...
-
Cat.
Also who is chat? -
@NeatNerdPrime pipeline engineering
-
@kanyewest some days do be like that.
-
@lorentz yup, especially with promises. Weird stuff.
-
(・ω・)つ⊂(・ω・)
-
@nike ah yes, brute forcing the 3 wrong password attempts. Try assword first
-
@jestdotty inb4b& does it _really_ fix that when the end value is still fluctuating with block difficulty and ongoing irl crisises?
-
@SidTheITGuy git gunned
-
@Root welp, all I can do is give nonsense opinions and advices. You are free to do what you want.
Also hey, since you are one of the best people who knows you, can you do me a favor and check if you are exhausted?
And if you can afford it, in whatever way it means, help yourself to relax and let your - uh how do I put this again - concious relax a bit if you think that will help.
and for the anxiety inside: nope, you are doing good. i just feel that the everyday bullshit can overwhelm every one of us no matter how used to suffering these bullshits we are.
also boop. lol -
@kanyewest LOOK OUT, HE HAS A GUN
-
@Root man, fuck, even the crypto that's supposed to fix the government taxing us everytime we do shit takes a gas fee.
-
@RevThwack I agree.
While you are at it, well, if you are at it root, do take some time to ask some collageues to "verify skills" in linkedin to get even more attention from HR. :) -
@lorentz also for not recognizing definitions, did you make a tsconfig.json file, or are you rawdogging it? Rawdogging causes ONLY the open files to be parsed and recognized.
-
@lorentz dude, that's xy problem
Just define a wrapper module that takes the fs module and export as is except for watch.
I can make you an example if you throw a coin to this witcher ($1 bid on github sponsors, one time)
You SHOULD be able to name this package fs, with or without warnings, and still have the native module be accessible via "node:fs" name -
@nike the fee is... about 102% of your coins in usd
-
AND NO, BEFORE YOU SAY "but i wanna define my own way, i don't want to be limited by the ugliness of boolean collapsing" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT
I ALREADY SAID YOU CAN USE A fhucking METHOD FOR THAT PURPOSE.
Now go touch grass before I make a meme about this -
@lopu look, it sounds good to be able to do that but it's a nightmare on many points.
We can bikeshed everyshit until you are satisfied but the most SIMPLE, closest to what you gave as an example and not "introducing overhead" way probably is this:
const el = flag1 && value1
|| flag2 && value2
//go on until satisfied and PROVIDE A FALLBACK DAMMIT
this way:
- you are not only making the javascript code schrodinger's code++™, where a variable may:
1. not be defined
2. defined once, but for type loving users like me, it's type cannot be determined easily if the flags are tied to runtime conditions
3. defined more than once, which, oh god how do i put this uh, we want PEOPLE to write the compiler for this. please don't make us get two masters degree for fucking working on JS. Pretty please, even.
- still not introducing a new function
- not getting on my and many others' nerves :) -
It's js, don't worry too much about the error types, hell, just use "throw 'string'"
If you need to provide more data on the error, just extend it yourself instead of using a builtin class that may or may not differ from the literal error class beside the name. -
@jestdotty oh ya, speaking on a non-racist tone, we get used to us being nice is normal tha we forget to give ourselves some credit.
I'm not saying "treat yourself and be an asshole once a week" but give yourself a pat on the back.
Also me not saying doesn't mean you can't just do _that_ but if you decide to do that, tell us which day is it so we can join you and make it more fun and chaotic <3 -
@PaperTrail that's why I'm saying is there a call REDIRECTion
Much like how our numbers get called and after certain time they will get REDIRECTED to voicemail. -
@black-kite poor little bpbby tables
-
@PaperTrail does bob have call redirection to sam by any chance? Maybe check his voip phone.
