Not kidding I actually discovered a thread.sleep of 5000 and the eliminated it and voila exec thought its great boost.
-
This is exactly why you should pay your dev a good paycheck.
-
I oscillate between these two. It starts with Monday I don't know what I am doing. Friday I am feeling like god.
-
Delete this before someone gets a hang of this. JSX has already troubled a lot of folks. Next thing you know HTML 6 supports conditional statements... save this planet.
-
@SoulSkrix you can be one of them but not most of it. Like even Bill Gates or Woz will be only good at one thing. Building operating systems and stuff. If you're good at many things you're probably not good at any of those.
-
After one month there are over 700+ installs. Thanks everyone. And glad I could do something for our fellow developer community.
Sorry had to brag.😂 -
Next thing you know robots are gossiping about thier respective owners.
-
You should never have friends like JavaScript in your life. They never tell you when you're wrong about something.
-
@rantsauce agreed again I would be wrong person to discourage anyone not to take up programming. Myself being from electrical background and no schooling of basics.
But it is just that some might not actually want to be in software and is doing development.. that scares me.
How would you feel if doctor treating you didn't like his job ? Or was never had any interest in becoming one..
Software Development should be considered a serious job not like shown on WIX. -
Completely undermines my existence in company.. so you do front end development.. well I can do that with WIX. Create stunning websites in minutes...
-
Happens to me. I have taken advance database class and he wants us to submit queries with screenshots.
If I were him, I would give students a dummy table and let them write SQL procedures and queries. Then run it against GB of data unseen to them and do profiling. Also, profiling results will be used for grading. Lowest execution time wins.
Damn I will be such an awesome professor.
😂 -
Would be great comedy if you get opposite of it the very next day.
-
Programmer Hacker Starter pack.
-
Have you tried telling her that you are a developer and use Devrant.?
That may change stuff. If not move on.. 😂 -
Damn I forgot about it.. happy Holi.
I missed second Holi away from my family. 😞 And many more to come.
P.S. I moved out of country for studies. 😭 -
@calmyourtities well there are some. I think we should stop stereotyping developers as nightcrawlers. If you find working yourself on office stuff during late night. That either means you didn't do your day job correctly or the company doesn't believe in work life balance.
Just my take. Although even I am a nightcrawler myself. I would love our dev community to be healthy and stop appraising such acts.
P.S. I am not mad just wanted to let it out. -
If this is true I am commuting suicide. I am looking for full time and getting rejects from biggies. N he gets a manager position served on a silver platter.
-
@irene *too childish* that's the point. Look up to ASH as role model. He is enthusiastic about being the best Pokemon trainer. The world has made us believe that money is important. Ash doesn't need money to be happy. Ash loves pokemon. Ash is chasing his dream with a pure heart.
Be like Ash.. -
I consider myself to be self taught programmer. I studies electronic and telecommunication much about radar and VLSI. I never studied C or Java and just picked it up over job. I first programmed in MATLAB, which still is my first love. And I don't regret the decision so far.
Fun fact. I am on my way to Oracle developer conference as I write. !! -
@iamkrid I was there too!!
-
I guess we do pay them. At least US grad schools do. In fact a lot of my professors are full time professor as well as consultants to tech companies. I estimate ~200k on lower side of it from both the income.
-
@Root the reason I say this because we start with refactoring code on our personal adventure which doesn't go well and ends up being an expense to the company that you work for.
-
He was a spy from sales team.!!! Covert operation. 😂😂
-
JavaScript language is good in its ways but a lot of JavaScript written is bad. When we don't see good code we think the language is bad.
Given the new ES6 and ES7 things are moving forward. And I am happy they are now natively supporting a lot of basic stuff that is required by modern web apps. -
Not founding the company at first place and dying with guilt of not taking the risk.
-
I would unmatch only if you mention php developer.
-
A software without bug. Because that isn't written yet.
-
I'm in opposite side. I don't want anyone to call me if they don't have any motive behind it. Except my parents.
-
@Andi I came up with this after looking at codebase
-
. Learn to write and also literally write test cases.
. Read 3-4 code books (reading 97 things programmer should know) next month I am reading the pragmatic programmer.
. Learn to read other devs code
. Learn about software economics
. If things look good present talks ( chances of this are very slim)
