But then what is the second most used programming language ?
-
Please note that only UI changes can be shown in this way. The real power of Linux is it's kernel.
Always a proud Linux user. -
@shambles07 Not gonna lie. It "is" super hard to get a decent job. Because there is competition outside. There are actual CS Grads out there with much more exposure, guidance and real world experience than you. But this is the beauty of this field. If you love what you are doing you will learn it yourself. You can learn everything online. You can build things. You just need a laptop and an internet connection.
I started with the absolute bottom. Did some projects on freelancer for free. Did some work from home internships for free. Exposed myself to competitive programming. Advanced courses on internet.
And after that I have an internship with a decent company and learning a lot of things here. They didn't care about my degree.
You got to love computer science to succeed. A long long road to cover ahead of me. -
Dude.. You are in a very good situation. My college didn't have any CS branch. That means neither a single person except me was interested in learning CS. There were no CS teachers also. But you know what I am a self taught programmer and I take pride in that. Stop crying and learn it yourself online.

90% chance she is using something like Word. So that's auto saving I guess.
-
And I am too afraid to ask this at this point if time...
-
@CSaratakij But how does a rubber duck help ???
-
Plus if that laptop is gaming one and can handle AAA games. Then you wouldn't need anything else in life xD
-
Intellij helped me improve my coding skills.
-
Sorry can't help it.. But...

Those are rookie numbers, you need to bump up those numbers.

@hexagon Thanks for the reply.
I am mostly aware about that if I take this internship, will it go in a negative side from my interests or will it boost in some way. Company is good, but my only concern is regarding whether I will be wasting my time doing meaningless things in this internship. -
I applied at a company for an internship. I mentioned them that I am particularly interested in back end, and coding complex algorithms in general.
They reverted back saying they have chosen my profile for UI intern instead as it matches more closely according to their company specs. Being in need of a job I continued the process. Completed take home project and Skype interview, I got the position. They offered me the position and I accepted it.
But now I am having second thoughts about it. Whether I should join or not ? I raised this issue with them stating that I want more development like projects but less website designing. They said it will be a combination of both but focus on JS will be lot higher. The company is good, but I am having a dilemma as what to do. Should I go ? How much different is actually Back End from Front End ? Will I be choosing a wrong path ? -
Hmm..Strange. I have seen a similar logo before. Can't remember.
-
Being a software engineer, that's important. You should know how machines work, because it is very close to that. I suggest you to take the hard way and learn about the memory architecture. How data is stored and retrieved. Pointer would be an easy topic then.
-
Once I did the same condition checking mistake in implementing dfs. Learned my lesson.
-
Strangely enough, I use Lubuntu. Coz' I have a laptop and it helps me save a lot of battery life. Will switch soon enough though, but don't know which one.
-
@elazar Easy! They would have to meet in person for that. But .. Wait...
-
But how would they communicate where to meet ?
-
What ? How ? When ?
-
@QoolQuy2000 same thoughts xD
-
He believe you
-
Plans are expensive.
-
Because we can't control time and there is no version control for life also.
-
My first language was C, I then used PHP. My reaction was "WTF", why do I not get to specify the type.
-
No maybe, I like loaded notifications from devrant about my likes and +1'd's. :)
-
I think he upvote's most of the rants. Specially those which have less upvote's. Just saying.
-
No, we are burning our eyes out.
