Nothing? Say her it isn't.
Also welcome to devRant! -
Well their popup is illegal anyways. It has to be opt in, not opt out. (As stated by EU law)
-
I have a Ducky One 2 (Brown switches). Love it, but change the space bar to the one without that ugly print.
@ihatecomputers you sure the lights aren't in a user mode or so? -
I use Hetzner now. Very good. You can also look at Scaleway.
-
I just had this on a VM.....

As someone who devs in JS daily I think it is fine. The problem is people importing packages for every little thing even when you can do it yourself with 10 lines for example.
-
Also the ads are always Spotify ads. When I had free version, I ONLY got ads about Spotify. Maybe once or twice I heard an actual ad.
-
Not sure where you live but in my country and (most European countries I think) there is a law based break. If u work longer than x hours you get half an hour or an hour break. They can't take it away unless it's an emergency or certain work that can't be interrupted, ...

Thanks for the arrow. wouldn't have seen it otherwise.

If you want to use Chromium you might wanna use "Google Chrome sans integration with Google" or just it's realname "Ungoogled Chromium". Not sure if you know it. It's on GitHuv and you can compile it yourself. Default engine is searx and WebStore functionality, Google Logins, ... have all been removed.
-
Something else is using it. Either Ubuntu is updating in bg or it's bugged. Reboot your pc, if it persists you can delete the lock file. But try the other things first. More info on lock file removal:

@Alice you're right. If it is possible to do it with css then it should be done with css. Like navs
-
@Condor @Alice also, your point is terrible. Often a website with a proper frontend system is faster than reloading the page, and more user friendly But it depends on the case. And not talking about newspapers, if you get a good newspaper you don't have that shit. You can visit NY Times without JS and it works fine.
-
@Alice you don't know what websites those are so maybe you shouldn't judge. If it's a stupid portfolio I don't built it in JS lol.
-
I built my websites in Nuxtjs. But since it's server side rendered or prerendered you can visit it without any JS. Ofcourse, interactions won't work but you can still visit it. But with jQuery I prefer to not use it. Last week I saw on a site I made that I used jQuery for a lightbox. I searched for a pure js one and removed the other one + jQuery

NGINX FTW. Apache can't handle that many connetions and eats RAM.
-
NVIDIA? Oooowh you mean NSHITIA? The company that owns GameWorks which destroys FPS on AMD cards for little to no extra "cool" effects? (Ahem The Witcher 3 HairWorks)
Don't expect them to release anything open source. They are just like EA, greedy AF. And highly anti-consumer. -
Huh yeah, same here

EDIT: Why the fuck do you have that mouse? -
@JoshBent yep, there is a plugin. It blocks trackers etc
-
@JoshBent I removed Ghostery tho, I'm only using DDG Privacy Essentials
-
@JoshBent ever heard of DuckDuckGo Privacy essentials or Ghostery?
-
@Fast-Nop @xaero I see, make sense. Thanks for explaining.
