@wackOverflow That means that they still load in the full article, and just slap the overlay on top client-side... If that's true then damn, that's the shittiest implementation I've ever seen of a "paywall"
-
What kind of garbage company is that, where they mandate the libraries that you should use?
-
If you don't know how to get customers/clients then it's probably not the brightest idea to start your own company.
If you want to start an agency of some sort, then you should already know at least 1 client that would hire you/your company to do their project, otherwise it's gonna be really tough. -
Yikes, good luck I guess 😅
-
Just curious, what job is it that you're doing, where you can use ChromeOS? If you're a dev, do they expect you to use one of these "Cloud" IDEs also?
-
Tell your PM that you'll need help from an Oracle because of how strong the magic is
-
Be glad it's not Azure PoopOps, you'd be asking support how to disable the shitty multi level modal without killing yourself
-
The devs were either dumb af, or pissed off at the gov refusing to let him use any new tech or architecture that's "new" (-er than 15 years)
-
Salesforce...

I've not played games for a long while and now that I'm back I've picked up:
Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Apex Legends for when I want some FPS action -
Classic case of "I have no idea what I'm doing it that you're talking about so I'll just use my filler response"
-
Pretty normal, also it makes sense because he can get a rough idea of what you've build/worked on and how it was implemented (besides the CV saying that you've worked with X and Y)
-
Then you get some shithead working on the codebase while you're off and doesn't annotate anything, someone else approves the PR and he's fucked it all up
-
Just wait until you work on a Vue 2 codebase with mixin's sprinkled around everywhere and Vuex actions with the same name as the mutations, getters and state.
-
Hey man, I had to do 3 prod deployments this morning by 10AM, I needed a little boost
-
When you spend a day trying to fix a bug and then it "hits" you at 01:08AM, you fix it and have the best sleep of the week.
-
Your first mistake was even considering using PHP
-
Psst, should've used AWS
-
Sales. ... Oh wait, if you think programming is stressful then that wouldn't end too well
-
It's a compliment of the company looking to hire him wants to make him work overtime regularly because of the managements inability to communicate and listen to the Devs.
-
Fill in that PR with 20+ suggestions and normal comments, oh and also request a few changes.
Then leave a "Looks good, just left a few tiny suggestions" comment and come back the next day -
And that, kids, is why I say no to overtime
-
I guess it's time to quit
-
Microsoft teams is dog shit
-
Tell this to your boss/manager/client?
It's not your fault or within your power to fix this so why worry about it? -
I only cut my nails once they start hitting the keys before my fingertips do

I must be a different breed because I have no cons for WFH (although I was working like that way before 'rona because I hate socializing)
I just unplug the dock from my work laptop and into my personal machine and I'm back into "personal life" 🤷♂️ -
Data warehousing, all Corpo's that I work with have contacts with these companies whose only responsibility is tracking, logging, doing stats and stuff like that with data.
One example is SAP Data Warehouse... They're garbage though -
@electrineer No, I'm 2 years old, any problem with that? :angryemoji:

2020 was my best year yet
