Things I like about WFH
-save petrol and mileage
-work in underwear
-big TV during lunch
-time saved by no commute
-lie down during meetings

Things I dislike
-feel like my room has been invaded by work/miss the physical separation of work and home
-distractions and temptations
-they moved the stand up to ealier because of WFH
-Everything has to be a meeting. No just popping by someone's desk with a quick question

Sometimes I miss physically seeing my colleagues/getting out of the house but not often

This. Though my GF occupies the couch.

I must be a different breed because I have no cons for WFH (although I was working like that way before 'rona because I hate socializing)

I just unplug the dock from my work laptop and into my personal machine and I'm back into "personal life" 🤷‍♂️

Same, but no problems with meetings, because we can chat just fine most of the time.

And no one in the team wants an early stand up so it's later than usual: almost at noon.

My room is just a swine cave though. 😒

@iiii that sounds nice. We have a few of those nutcase morning people. I join stand up at 8 I often see the call has been going for half an hour already

    This.
Another pro is that you get more chances to have healthier food.
On the other hand, other cons are:
    - you can be dragged on work for longer.
    - interruptions and nuisances can be much more annoying and less controllable.
    - you walk a lot less, so get much less chance to exercise.

@TheBeardedOne stand up at 8 is bonkers. Even in the office the work day was starting at 9 and stand up was at 10. 8 - totally insane.

@iiii yea definitely. The real irony is we're not even a dev team. We're support. Idk if support teams normally have stand up but bloody hell

@iiii As for starting the work day at 8...

My first few days I came in at 9 (they wanted me to physically come in at first though many people had stayed remote even after things calmed down ) because although the contract says 8-5 with an hour for lunch, everyone knows that actually means 9-5 and you eat at your desk. Buddy who hooked me up with the job confirmed (he's on a different team though) then a couple days in one of my teammates asked why I kept missing the 8am stand up

When I had the lockdown order from the government I didn't notice any difference I've been socially distancing, self isolating and working from home for 15 years lol.

Oh my god.. the meetings. But thank god, i am not the only one irritated.. the number of meetings in a week went down from 6 to 2 because of that. But i can do without those 2 also..😪
