Tbh I don't know what kind of quality assurance process they have but it can't be that hard, taken into account what shitty plugins are out there.
I don't know a "review service" probably you've to pay a agency/freelancer to do this. But in my opinion that's a waste of money. -
Do you want to lower the quality to fit in?
-
Once I got a SDK only available for Windows but being a cygwin bullshit bundle. Of course no documentation and full of bugs...
-
@jhh2450 it's extremely expensive there, but you get one of the highest densities of risk capital, incubators, partners, highly qualified employees and so on.
I've never been there, but as a founder from Germany some of the important numbers for startups are pretty impressive to me down there. -
That's where the name bug comes from.
-
u know something better?
-
@lunatica don't take that serious. Speed metering is complex and depends on many things. It's ranting, not science ;)
-
@aile11 tell that your designer :D
It's the de-facto standard for a reason. So if you want to get serious you will end up using it.
... And btw when you get serious it's actually quite cheap. -
Photoshop on Windows takes 2 seconds from a SSD. Photoshop on Linux takes ... oh ... wait.
-
@curlydev that's exactly what I meant with bug free :D
-
Then we'd better run :)
-
If not Java and JS, cordova ist probably the way to go. You can develope your app (nearly) like a normal Website and to use phone specific stuff there are tons of easy to use plugins.
The documentation should give you a good start. -
Why would someone use WordPress for something like that?
-
It's not stupid to open source paid content. It's a friendly move. Because it will make the app you're using most probably better and safer.
Don't see the paid features as something secret what you are buying. It's more a way for you to give the dev something back and installation convinience.
But of course it sets some trust in the user base. Some will honor that and some won't. -
To be honest. Don't be an asshole and buy the dev some beer.
-
Seems like it's out for me. Starting to implement templates on my own is to time/money consuming for me to do this for smaller sites.
-
I got to administer a few pages and WordPress went pretty well on the customer side. But it's just used to enable the user to self update a bit of their content. Perhaps it really depends on the complexity of the site.
I didn't know bolt (I'm not doing this for a living :) Looks nice but I suppose there are a lot fewer templates and a way smaller dev-user-base, right? -
Pepe is dead :(
-
From an end-users perspective, what's so bad about WordPress?
I know it can be a pain to maintain shitty plugins or themes but if it's setup most of the dumbest people can use it...
... on the other hand you haven't mentioned what the customer wants to have. If it's too far from a simple blog/homepage it might not even be simple to use anymore. -
Who uses manual file saving? O.o
-
Sadly JS is missing it's funeral since several years ...
-
GIT for big binary data is a shitty idea.
Aaaand that's why there is git annex or git lfs ;) -
Actually there has been done research on how often you should change your job to maximize your income.
Quintessence is, change often but not to often. If you change every one or two years company's will soon notice that it isn't worth to set you up in important projects because you're likely to leave soon. On the other hand job changes - intra-company - gets you the better raises.
So if I remember it correctly in Western Europe the optimum was around a change every five year.
Of course this doesn't hold for freelancers, founders and sometimes trainees ;) -
It's amazing to build those cities!
-
I recommend you a brand new tool. GIT! And it has an even more awesome functionality "git blame".
</sarcasm>
So to be honest this joke already has a beard. And it wasn't even funny in the first place because it is obvious what you would have done and I could fix it in seconds. -
Apparently my daughter is to clever for that ...
-
... a modem
Not seen for a long time. -
Nobody says JS can't be fast under certain circumstances.
But especially if you say something like C is slower u just don't use C to it's full extend and just made a benchmark which is nice to JS. -
Ouch. Faster than the language the interpreter is written in?
Ahm ... Nop. -
Regarding the temperature. Here it's prob not so important. But if you start soldering active (smd) parts take a look in the datasheet for allowed temperatures, normally there should be some information regarding soldering temp.
Most of the time it's better to don't turn the iron to hot. If you don't want to burn your chips.
pro tip: tin-lead solder has also a given melting temperature you need to reach and there are differences.
