@C0D4 because that's how everything is outside the cities. Much cheaper to put poles in and string cables up than to dig. With that said though our cable across the driveway was way lower than it should have been and even though we protested to get it moved higher several times they always told us it didn't have to be.

Update: They came at 8 this morning to string a new line and this guy made sure it was really high and wouldn't be hit again. Plus he did it quickly and is telling HQ that it was a squirrel so we don't have to pay for it. For what will probably be the first time and last I'm going to say, good work ATT you did fucking awesome.
