Product Owner.
Not Product Liaison.
Not Product Buddy.
Not Product Suggester.

Own it. Bend it to your will. Make it better or sunset it and build it again. But don’t be a wet noodle and say “I’m just following orders”. You give the orders, you own it.

I understand your rant, because that PO could be me. But a product owner is sometimes in the sandwich of strategic desicions and what the product really should go into (from developing perspective). So not every time an easy job to satisfy the boss and the devs in the same way.

@2erXre5 I understand the tension between business, users, development, and QA. That’s why I don’t want to be a PO, however if you come to a meeting and say “I’m just following orders, I have no strategy” you are a weak owner because you are not “owning”.
