The biggest drawback to QObject is you cannot template a class that inherits from QObject. It is an fucking pain in the ass. I have more work arounds and boiler plate because of that crap. I end up with code that if I find in the wild I would say: "wtf is this shit?" I end up composing stuff just to make it work together without coupling too hard. I guess if it works it works. If one of you cunts ends up working on this code I will apologize right now. But I won't be sorry one bit.
