@wiyzard I heard that there is a lot of pressure and I also hate Google for working together with the NSA (see PRISM) and being a data miner of doom.

wiyzard3038y@PonySlaystation what companies would you rather recommend as a work place for devs? There is always pros and cons. -

@wiyzard I can't really say. It depends on what technologies and platforms you want to work and develop on, where you live, what you like, how much you want to earn etc.
 -

@PonySlaystation This. They always say that they genuinely care about their customers' privacy/security. Security - fair enough, they have very good security practices but privacy - fuck off.
If you work together with the biggest spy agency in the world which in this case makes that you sell out literally all your clients/customers, then fuck you.
I'd, no kidding, rather live on the streets than work for google. -

wiyzard3038y@linuxxx now I have another question. How does cyber security works without collecting data and evaluate by an authority? 🤔 -

@wiyzard You should have brought something related to DuckDuckGo (other than the tie)
 -

@wiyzard Difference between offensive and defensive security, the specific type (network, operating system, web app and so on), stuff like that :)
 -

wiyzard3038y@linuxxx how about defensive cyber security in a network? How does that work? You seem to be a professional in that area. -

@wiyzard Professional is a big word haha. I know quite some stuff relating to both offensive and defensive cyber security.
Yes you'll need to collect data in order to stay secure but you can limit it to a lot, depending on the applications you use.
