Error messages shouldn't contain conjecture. You saying “probably” means you don't know. Who knows then?

What I need to know is:

1. Is it you or is it me

2. If it is me, how do I fix it ASAP. If instructions are too long, give me a link to some readme.

3. If it's you, tell me you already know about the error and will follow up in email when you fix it, or give me a link/email to report the error to you.

“Oopsie daisy, an error, we know nothing, we won't tell you anything” is how you lose customers. I'm paying you ffs.

@kiki true. It‘s sad that we need to explain this to so many stakeholders, who come up with those messages.

@Lensflare nah, I don't believe a stakeholder cares about an error message about locale files not loading correctly. You have to explain that to your manager at best, and those have the intelligence of Half-Life 1 cockroach AI. Shouldn't be too hard to learn how to deal with them
