Just got out of a dev hellhole
Being stuck in one is just minecraft where the diamonds move and you don't wanna stop digging cause they look close but they keep getting away1 -
When people ask me what I do for a living I reply : "I'm dev" (Which is "Je suis dev" in french) and people always think I'm called Dave4

TFW you get to work and your colleague is like : "Hey boyo you got bugS to fix on that code we pushed into production"
As I was just having a better outlook on my life -

Am I the only one that dancing on my chair to disco/house/techno while coding means I finally reached the Flow zone where I'm focused for real3 -
This moment when you have to read a 3k lines long Service class to plug a new process on the legacy one, and wonder if it wouldn't be just better to rewrite stuff in parallel instead of reusing and bending the old one
Everything is so tightly coupled that I would have to refacto all this and extract methods but I don't have time for that, and the chance of breaking stuff is insanely high -

You know SO is the best source of info when you google a question, find a thread, find the answer that solves your problem perfectly, see that the person who answered is your next table colleague5 -
God I hate React so bad
I get the hype but omg it is so confusing
Literally everytime I try adding something nothing works and I have to troubleshoot, EVERYTHING is a problem
And don't even get me started on REACT + TYPESCRIPT
IMO VueJS is just a smoother nicer experience overall7 -
Fuck these IT corporate proxies
Nothing just *works* and you have to fiddle with shit all the time and waste hours and days
The worst thing is the team I work on and their code isn't on the corporate server so if I'm on their damn proxy I can't access my work, if I'm not I can't access company stuff that I need
