    @ars1 spot on.

    Also the alarms thing is so me.

    But then again, good luck for any client trying to set up a meeting with me at 9 am.

    My body doesn't start functioning until noon. If you need me, wait until then.

    @CoreFusionX yeah….noon on a good day for me…sometimes I don’t do shit until 1-2 pm

    @CoreFusionX When asked crappy job interview questions like "What's your biggest weakness", I tell them that I don't function very well in the morning. I'm not a grouchy, "Don't talk to me until I've had my coffee" type, but if you're checking in with me to see how things went yesterday I will reply with "What was I working on yesterday?"

    Just had my 10am stand up from bed. Pretty accurate...

    @DamoMac

    I have IBS. My body literally doesn't start working until then. If you want to pay me for being glued to the loo, so be it xd

    it takes 10 minutes to start a coffee just after waking up, and 5 minutes for the coffee to be done. I optimized the process by packing the espresso maker in the evening so that I just have to turn on the heat in the morning and remember not to put on headphones until it starts clucking. This enabled me to set my alarm to 8:50 and still have 5 minutes clearance to reach the kitchen and to retrieve the coffee before the meeting starts.

    @lorentz doesn’t coffee go stale being left overnight like that? I thought you were supposed to grind it right before you brew it
  • 3
    @kiki It's better if you grind it fresh, but waking up 10 minutes later is more significant than the quality of the coffee I drink while listening to my coworkers yap about their work during standup

    @kiki I make a good cup around 10 when I really pick up pace anyway. the first coffee of the day just has to be strong

    the alarms are too real. glad we do our standups at 10, not 9 am

    @CoreFusionX ooooh damn….very sorry you have this issue, IBS can be pretty debilitating

    For me it's forgetting that I wear sunglasses, stumbling to the kitchenette at work and staring at the coffee machine or my tea for 5 minutes.
    I then forget my tea or coffee in the kitchen because someone wants something from me and then I return to drink my cold beverage.
    I then start programming stuff and get interrupted 2^5 times by phone calls and loose focus.
