I hate it when the clients seem so interested and then stop replying to your emails as soon as you send them your quotation for the project.

me too, i was once tasked to get quotes for a website for an artist.
Damm i had no idea... 10k from your webdev buddy. And 50k upwards from the hipster web agency.
The artist was furious and couldn't understand those prices. In the end we kept the old site.
