I search more than ever thanks to GPT, a lot of pointless things I else wouldn't have even searched. So, in the end it does make we wiser than someone who searches less. Most things I look up I know what the answer should kinda be so can validate it.

Example searches today:

- enable only vertical scrolling in CC. Totally forgot.

- reversing a python string ([::-1], fuck, this is logic in some way?)

- how to configure default variables in IPython when you boot it (I wanted my rpc client always available in the terminal and pp, matplotlib, pathlib, os by default imported, so i never get import errors anymore in CLI)

@SoldierOfCode I tried to make an image of you (based on your dr profile Pic). This one I liked the most, but the only thing I wanted to change is that it says "ocaml" in English as the tattoo of the camel. So, firsr version was best.

@SoldierOfCode then, with only the request to change that text to English I get this complete different image. Also, it doesn't look like the dr avatar I've supplied anymore.

So, i asked it to make the man look more like the avatar I supplied and get this inaccurate thing with adding a huge Jewish tattoo and a lot of random added muscles. How can that be the result.

@SoldierOfCode and then I asked to make the man skinnier and remove the Jewish tattoo and I get this shit, a huge Jewish tattoo on the camel. Wtf. Designers don't have to worry about their jobs yet. This is paid version btw. AI only works good if you're very quickly satisfied. It pretends to do iterations with you, but in imagine generation it's not iterating at all. A complete new image isn't an iteration.

Remember: the first picture was perfect but I only wanted to have ocaml word in English and now I ended up with this. AI image gen is only good for fun stuff I guess. You can't replace it with a designer for serious business. Only fun side projects or so.

@SoldierOfCode this I do ask to use exact image (the image I posted here first) and replace the camel tattoo with the word "ocaml" and it creates a python script with stuff like: camel_tattoo vars and then it ended with this 😂. Dear lord.. It even used a true type font. It's literally a text on a camel.

Still it's quite fun, but like most AI only just funny, not very usable.

But for looking up stuff I consider it more comfy than Google if you know the answer kindoff already. It doesn't learn you much about a subject, but it does answer specific technical questions quite well.

And since when did Google become the definition of good research? Real ogs read books.

Currently working trough a book about neural networks. I do not even consider that a real study bevause the average level of the book isn't that high. It doesn't really do the math, only how to use it. I think to have finished it in a month, 300 pages or so. Many assignments.

That's my preferred way to learn something, quite simple books. Also, not too thick, it must be achievable.
