Words cannot express the shock I felt when I heard this from an interviewee for junior dev.

How the FUCK do you call yourself a developer you piece-of-shit when you don't know such an essential thing?????

@daveq The job description specifically stated that we are using Git for VCS and would need it as a requirement

@C0D4 I perfectly understand that. However, the job description stated knowledge of Git as a requirement alongwith some experience of working in a professional role.

@divayprakash eh, my job description stated a bachelors degree in CS as mandatory, I still got the job without it 🤷‍♂️

Plus if your hiring a jnr you’re going to have to take some time out of you’re week anyway to guide, and teach them new tools and processes anyway, what’s a few hours on VCS?
