macOS treats chess like it's the System32 file in windows

It needs it to keep occupied while you are not with him.... You are just being selfish and not considering your mac's needs...

    Shame!

Pretty sure you can remove it with sudo rm -rf, might need to use recovery mode

It's apple's way of saying you are their pawn and you can't change that fact 😉

    Fuck apple.

Oh it's not a windows 10 rant, so no comments about bloatware, apps, store, ecc...

It needs to be there to add logics to macOS

That's how MCP started, as a chess program. One of these days it'll be giving you orders

The chess application actually runs all of the security for MacOS, hence why it’s so shite

@divil nothing controversial IT IS A PC, only fan boys try to call it exclusively a mac to differentiate

Want yo delete chess? That will be 99.99$ only!

    Play it, don't delete it!

If macOS Was Smigel It Would Be Like
"You can't delete chess because I needs it"
  • 1
    @sunfishcc you can with Powershell
  • 0
@kaesaecracker but Microsoft will bring it back after an update 😓
  • 1
@sunfishcc Well you could run that script each boot
  • 5
macOS user. You CAN delete it, you have to boot to recovery and disable System Integrity Protection. For those who either don’t know and/or don’t care to learn, SIP is equivalent to Windows TrustedInstaller. Helps protect system files from malware. It just so happens it protects almost all preinstalled things too, with includes Chess.

Oh well. I’m just trying to give some actual discussion fuel here, instead of just REEEEEEEEE ITS NOT LINUX REEEEEE

    I’m done now.

System32 is a folder. Not a file. *flies away and watches with popcorn from a distance*

    😂 Don't do Mac, kids

Maybe the hard-coded the Chess application somewhere in the core OS modules. That's why you can't remove it.
