it's actually a good thing if you use a browser which is officially not supported. I can't open whats app web on the Vivaldi browser. But it works perfectly fine with that globe emoji url.

@-vim- technically yes, but there is an encoding that browsers can use to convert between unicode and ascii in domain names: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
I don't know if this works with emojis though.
