But if you are using gmail/hotmail in mobile browser it wont prompt any kind of warning msg.

This happened to me when I was querying to Crooked Cat which is a literary publisher. I said, "Thank you. I've attached the first three chapters of my manuscript. I look forward to your reply."

AND THEN I REALIZED I FORGOT TO ATTACH THE DAMN THING. It really sucked. I sent a second email, hoping I still had a chance.

Needless to say, I got rejected.

So what's wrong with a follow-up mail with the actual attached file? Unless it's something über-important, what's the matter?
