just read this article (german),
https://trendingtopics.at/wearedeve...

in the interview section, there was the magic sentence
"developers hate recruiters"

it is argued that they do not speak the same language, nor do they have the same background(recruiters are mostly HR or marketing people)

i hate those recruites, who are not even able to write my firstname correctly, when trying to contact me

any other reasons to hate them?

They take a chunk of your pay as commission and have no interest in helping you find work they just want a pay out.

I studied business, worked in marketing, then launched my own IT recruiting firm (with a former headhunter as co-founder) and finally managed to become a self-taught web developer (still working on this). Long story short: 99% of companies think they can recruit IT people as they always did in the last 30 years with professionals for marketing, finance, sales... Same tools, same strategies. For this reason, they call the old loyal recruiting firm they used in the last 30 years and ask: "Hey, can you recruit a Java developer for us?" Will they say something like "We are sorry but we do not have any expertise with IT"? Of course not. They'll call the new junior consultant and ask him to take care of it.

Give him 15 days and all the Javascript devs in town will have a connection request on LinkedIn saying: "Came across your profile on LinkedIn and was very impressed with your background and skill-set. The Tech market is growing and we are in great need of skill-sets such as yours"

Worst part about recruiters: you ask for a developer, you get a newb who was able to blurt a few technical terms and made a good impression.
