I just got energy back. Seems like it was all of Spain, eastern Portugal and southern France.

Not that it was the likely cause, but yeah, our retarded government insists on shutting down nuclear plants and keep buying power from France.

Fun thing, our miserable president was recorded two years ago saying that there would be no major blackouts or anything like that...

Cue today... Largest power failure in recorded history

Well, it turns out our incompetent government was the cause after all.

Since they started shutting down gas, coal and nuclear, we lack fast response plants that can quickly adapt output in case of production upsurges. This messes up the frequency of the AC, triggering substations to promptly disconnect to protect themselves, leading to blackouts.

This was warned against by the experts, and our corrupt politicians knew, but hid it from everyone.

So yeah, they are too fucking blame and should bear the responsibility.
