A simple poll

Let's say there is a program or whatever sort of thing that does the exact same thing except the gui...

1. A shitty gui with default buttons, etc but with ok paddings and margins so that it is a bit usable (if it is a web app, no css) -- 5MB

2. A super cool 1337 h4X0R looking gui with awesome animations -- 100MB

What is your choice?

I always built my website in a simple and clean way unless they asked for it

It depends on the apps function.
A 100MB cool looking file copy program seems silly.
A 100MB cool looking MP3 player is par.

    None of the above.
    3. A simple clean gui with minimal/no animation, properly designed.

    For using myself 1

For building: the customer gets what they pay for. If they want a fancy gui, they will get it

1, I’ll rewrite the GUI myself if I have to.

You edited for a web site: smaller is better.

It really depends on what it is.

I downloaded a simple program to remind me every half hour I need to stop for a few minutes. Very minimal design, but it doesn't matter, since it stays in the background 90% of the time.

Something like a music streaming service needs to look amazing as fuck because I'm keep it on my screen most of the time.

10 years ago i had probably choose the lighter cause the lack of space but now i really don't even care about the size of a software

How about we go for a minimal GUI. 🤘

I'd stick with CLI and command flags for the different functions.

    Otherwise, 1 :)

@TheOct0 Or separate executables for different functions
