HW bricked: Where is your god now?

Yeah, my old x270's are all asking for bios upgrades and I'm like, meh - you stable for so long, I'll take me chances. I'm now happy with product, why would I "upgrade". I have what I've paid for. On top, I'm now worried for security issues on that level at all. I don't upgrade with good reasoning. Just happy, not scared regarding security on such level. Done.

I feel like the process got a lot more robust lately. I was easily able to update it on my Thinkpad from Windows. No need to download a specific file to a usb drive.
Also did A LOT of firmware updates on industrial automation gear. Never had an issue. Except programming X20CP0482 those things are a nightmare that you have to download the software with a piledriver!
