    I couldn't agree more

He will die single because he's not using ISO 8601 YYYY-MM-DD

    I like MM/DD/YYYY

yyyy-mm-dd is better. Because of sorting.

@growling Are you the kind of person who also likes pickles with whipped cream and sriracha? Because that's what US date format looks like to me.

ISO is also stupid, because timezones and DST are awful.

Unix timestamps are metric and thus superior. No time to explain why, my kilosecond break is over, still need to do some work because in 300k the megasecond sprint is finished.

Oh, only the 10th time someone posted this this week

@growling I respect your opinion, but it's making life confusing for the ones living outside of the U.S.

BTW - This format is used in other places, not just the U.S of 'murica. for example, The Federated States of Micronesia.

I do consent to both yyyy-mm-dd and dd.mm.yyyy, for muggles the dd.mm.yyyy is more comftable, as usually they care about the day. For it yyyy-mm-dd is superior, as it simplifies search/partitioning/ordering.

    So storing: yyyy-mm-dd, displaying: dd.mm.yyyy
