Taking paracetamol or ibuprofen is just piping your body's error.log to /dev/null.

Lots of medication is just a logging filter.
The issue is that the underlying problems are still there.

Most pain killers lead to damage of the organs if taken continously - especially liver and kidney.

The side effects are very bad - migrane due to misusage of analgetics is very common.

Last but not least - if taken regularly, the addiction leads to an reduced effect...

Reason I write this: Most countries really have an insane and fucked up health system - not caring much for the patient but rather for the business behind it.

So... Analgetics bad hmkay? Pain has most of the time a reason - suppressing an error is not fixing it :)

Yeah, but on the other hand, ignoring the error log and avoiding diagnostics is what people do in the first place, without painkillers. Then they need because it hurts then, then they need TONS more when under surgery. Have tooth extraction without being on meds. Good luck!

When you have surgery, most of the analgetics are necessary.

Instead of tooth extraction - let's pick the example spine operation. Analgetics - in this case at least opioids - are necessary to prevent nerve damage, due to pain and stress caused by the pain and the operation.

But - you should have a rehab, an doctor specialized in pain / pain medication, and not only for the operation - for the whole rehabilatition and taper off the dosage of medication.

There is a severe difference between having a correct diagnosis and the need for medication and treatment vs self prescribing pain meds or having a doctor who prescribes them like wine gum.

And the last is the common case... Very sadly

@irene Works ok for me to relieve mild headaches. I generally avoid ibuprofen as it has a stronger reaction on me. I can get an amazing feeling of energy when having a fever of 38-39 deg C. And then crashing back into the fever a few hours later.
