Me: I know

Dad: yeah maybe you can get a IT job

Me: I dont do IT

Dad: You never know what you do until you do it.

Me: *getting an aneurism from sheer ignorance*

@davenall yeah I’m not understanding what he’s saying.

I think he means CS but his dad keeps thinking he does IT. Clarify OP?

Yeah, I'm not getting out either...

I HEAR YOU CAN MAKE LOTS OF MONEY WITH ITS

Pretty sure he said: "I do it every day [...]" (i.e. not "IT").

@davenall I get what you mean.

I interpreted it as: "I am doing it (i.e. my job/activity) every day, so of course I know what I am doing." I wouldn't say it has no meaning at all, but the sentence sure is oddly constructed.

Anyway, we need @OP to clear things up!

Yall I program every day 😂 he doesnt understand programming and just assumes (every time) that I'm either doing nothing important or I'm playing a game

@Bubbles on the one hand clarity is always important when writing. On the other hand I can tell this was written in a fit of rage and that makes it great!

@jeeper yeah I wasnt thinking clearly when I wrote it out so i figured there wasnt as problem, and I was beyond livid

I’m not doing what I went to school for, even if it was my previous job... Just sayin’

@piehole that is always a possibility but I'm way too passionate about programming to wanna do anything else

@Bubbles give it time, burnout is a real thing...

@piehole I bet, but this field is so vast I can just change it up
