Job hunting and interviewing disgusts me.

I feel like I am in some kind of dating nightmare (and I hate dating). It's really weird trying to sell yourself to some company and they judge you based on how you think, how you talk, how your professional life has been up until now. I also judge them based on my professional values.

It makes me feel really awkward to talk to people trying to sound all calm and professional when I am kind of dying of nihilism inside. Tired of having to get to the stages of interviews where I need to do some idiotic tech assessments that are irrelevant to the job spec. Some were fun though.

Thankfully no AI interviewer fuckery yet, but if I do run into such a thing, I'm gonna pull out and expose the company that does this.

Getting close to final stages with some places which seem decent enough to sell my time to, and salaries are so much higher than what I currently get paid (fuckin peanuts).

I just want to become a mushroom at this point.

    @kiki wants to be cremated to avoid becoming a mushroom. Do you know that the mushroom actually is the massive dick of mycelium and that biologists doubted if it was an animal or a plant? If it was an animal it would've been the biggest one with possible lengths of a few km iirc. But enough about potential dick.

    I would say fake it until you make it if you're capabable of that. I personally not, by now, if I ever had to apply for a job again, I probably really need it 😂

    But regarding AI, a dev that doesn't work with AI by now in any way, I wouldn't hire, like no exceptions. Ai is not new anymore. A lot happened, AI had to become better, devs had to invest more time.. But by now, devs still not using AI because nOT mY CoDE, auch. My AI write exactly like me, and I these day a bit like the AI. Learning a lot from eachother. I write still moet myself, but literally all source goes trough AI in the end for completion. And if you wrote 80%, it will be fine result, always.

    @retoor oh don' get me wrong, I use AI because Angular is fucked beyond comprehension and I don't feel like wasting my precious cognitive energy on it. I just don't want to be interviewed my an AI zombie.

    @D-4got10-01 Thanks! I decided from now on I'll do my best at job hopping every two or so years until I can get my own company and property portfolio in such a state where I don't have to work full time in this industry anymore.
