Canada is so owned by China's climate scam the only jobs for software development in Canada are carbon credits or some green energy nonsense... sigh how is this not a dystopia already. every industry and sector is shrinking but Canada keeps pumping more subsidies into the climate scam so it's the only thing that exists now

maybe we'll economic collapse and I can retire but I wanted to get more money first just in case

Few years ago, I got offer to move to Austria to work on a startup regarding exactly that. I was far in progress of getting hired. The CEO and I liked each other and I dared to ask like "How does it work exactly" and used the word "shady" somewhere and he admitted that :P

    It's a dystopia indeed.

But why do you say it's from China?

Btw, if we literally get carbon credits, it's just over. Like, we have realize that we're not free. Almost paying to breathe.

But i thought that all this shit was more European and that they made China feel bad about it and China took over the ideas. They implement a bit faster maybe, because Europe pretends that that it's people has something to say and our opinions matter.

It's all about a scam. They think we're stupid. And you know what, maybe we just are, because it's gonna happen. A lot of people are actually just happy, and don't think. They think "oh, ok, it was but it's not the end.". Especially my parents generation who had a few things better are saying like "Ah well, the thermostat does not have to be that high" and stuff. Like what, you're gonna die next week, maybe you should not have such opinion anymore. I don't care about the kids in 2200 if we don't want to reproduce and have none in 2050.

But evil, or incompetent? What are they? I think combo.

@retoor met a smart systems thinking dude and he claimed it was china but didn't back it up, but that got me watching a bit on who benefits and how china is being treated by all the pro clean energy people (for example, China owns (and spedlined bought beforehand) all lithium mines in the world but one, and you need lithium for batteries which are necessitated for any sort of "clean energy" because all forms don't produce steady output)

just watched a video from a think-tank and they were interviewing a security analyst who claimed China wrote a mandate that they want to take over the world before 2049 and I'm like oh. but there are other signs. as dumb as it is when it comes to nation states and organizations doing shady shit you literally just have to find the coordinating document of them admitting it and that's basically that. I've seen it too much. seals the deal for me. zero carbon by 2050 is Canada's motto rn (hopefully non consensually...)

@retoor rn Canada is in some weird psy ops war against USA while USA is blind to it. like wtf are we doing. we aren't even a country.

there's absolutely no reason to get retarded about USA. 80% of our trade is with USA (or was before)

not to mention we have verifiable proof of Chinese meddling and changing various elections... yet our country does nothing about it. there's so much fucking weird Chinese corruption

China's pro Palestine, somehow Canada didn't get the message to be pro Israel (like the US is) on the left (lefties being the ones who keep going to china as of going to their overlords)

we also supply a lot of drugs to USA, and illegals. how did that happen?

literally we're being setup to go to war with USA and I don't like it

@retoor to be fair, I miss white snowy and cold winters. I distinctly remember that my childhood winters used to be snowy all the time with a few warmer days when all was melting. The heaps of snow and temperatures below -27C [that was the threshold for NOT going to school]. I also recall February and January dropping as low as -32C [I checked bcz I was curious what temps are already a no-go for my car's diesel engine] - that was like ~7 years ago.

We haven't had real winters for quite some time now. They are warmer. Mostly wet and dirty, with only a few snowy days.

Summers.. Idk, europe keeps complaining about heat waves, but here in LT summers seem cooler. We used to have +33C+ ~half a dozen times per summer. Now we barely hit 30C once.

Idk who benefits from all this eco thing, but it makes sense to me. I want my white christmas back!!

@netikras Indeed, I miss those white winters from my childhood, too. Although here, in Central Europe, I don't remember the temp. dropping to below some -15 C, maybe -20 C.

@D-4got10-01 which country? Technically, I live a couple of km away from a geographical centre of Europe 😁

it snows if temperature is near 0 btw

it won't snow if it's really cold

    source: Canada

and what you need for snow is humidity

speaking of, humidity is a better heatsink than CO2. so if global warming it's caused by underwater volcanoes going off and exploding tons of superheated ocean water into the atmosphere and that does actually noticably change the temperature

So much mentions to me and I only came to upvote my own comments. Will react within 1.5 hours if the 1 wolf with three welps in the Netherlands doesn't eat me. Walking a hour home in the dark.
