Was frantically trying to figure out where an unwanted full stop was coming from, next to a dropdown in my UI. It was some dust on my screen.

Happened to me quite a few times. Our machines need cleaning from time to time

    Yes, been there.

It's slightly funnier when a tester fails to do his due diligence && creates a report about it, though.

/* While !dot, I've seen this actually happen at least at my first job. Some graphical issue was reported, but it turned out the tester's TV settings were off, or something like that. We made fun of it && moved on. */

@D-4got10-01 The CEO at my previous job reported that Windows & Mac colours looked different... It was in fact the same colours, just a different display type. We explained it to him but unsure if he understood it; he made a new complaint 2 months later where the colours on his laptop screen looked different than his second monitor that he was using.

@wojtek322 LOL. Well, at my previous company, when emoji started becoming a thing, we had a PM who started complaining that emoji on his iPhone looked differently from the ones on his Android. Then complained that sometimes he would receive empty spaces && whatnot.

...had to explain that those depended highly on platform && OS version.

@D-4got10-01 I'm not even blaming him. I thought for a long time that emojis were standardized. I only learned more about it when Discord changed away from the Twitter library for emojis (i think).

@wojtek322 At the time it was less known fact, yes. Although I did some digging && found:

I can't exactly find the proper link, for the moment, but there definitely used to be a nice comparison per platforms.
