considering the amount of bugs introduced with each release of gnome de, by now i'm sure people who use gnome do nothing with their machines and using linux for them is just a gimmick.
they boot up the os and just look at the desktop and say: wow, what great desktop, gnome is sure the best.
same people are very vocal when you point out a bug or an issue in the github/lab pages. responding to you with "i never had that problem in my entire life not even once, ever."
assholes making software and idiots using it in their world of butterflies and rainbows. then here i am trying to open most basic apps without crashing.

Yeah, gnome sucks. Better use: https://retoor.molodetz.nl/retoor/.... Using it for months and ooooh, the comfort and performance is just mayhem. Does require some dependencies but it's all documented. It has ambilight surroundings.

"i never had that problem in my entire life not even once, ever."

    Oh, I love those people.

Same category as all those * cough * helpful people on the internet answering 'just update' when you have a problem w/ older OS, software, or whatever.

I switched permanently to i3 when Gnome 3 came out and never looked back. I tried Sway and Hyperland every once in a while, but Wayland is still total dog shit and Xlibre fixes a lot of the outstanding xorg issues.

i3+Xlibre is the future for me.
