Do you think that checkboxes are a good choice for mutually exclusive answers?

I mean, if the question is “Are you comfortable commuting to the office”, answering both ways could be “If commute is reasonable and this isn’t you asking me to commute to an office location in the middle of a pandemic when the area I live is in lockdown” or “In theory, yes, but you didn’t bother providing the address of your actual office, so I have no way to know if the distance to your office is reasonable for me and I don’t want to just blindly say yes without acknowledging these caveats”.
