I'm not sure if this should be a joke or random, but the SBB train info screen in St. Gallen on platform 5 just decided to interpret the data given a bit differently than intended.

It is not broken and no other screen has that problem. What could it be, I wonder. But I don't care enouht to post it as a question.

I guess random would have been more appropriate.

SBB Business Model: give me all your Money, I’ll hire more people to do less, we will not improve anything but use those new employees as an argument to make it even more expensive for you next year! Then, because the Government is still somehow involved in the company we‘ll pay less taxes and make sure noone can do shit about it..
We‘ll also reduce the number of trains, disable ACs to save money and treat our customers like shit.

Why? Because we made sure we’re the only legal public trail transport company so you can’t do anything about it $$$

@Fast-Nop yea.. germany is like „maybe we are there, maybe not“. Switzerland is like: „we are always ther. We might skip your stop but we’ll be around. And the ticket from ZH airport to ZH is 30 bucks so you can’t afford it anyway“

@Fast-Nop I worked in Switzerland for 8 years and had to commute from and to Zurich. NO ONE Can tell me the SBB is good... it was in the 2000s but not anymore. You can agree or disagree. but I’m done with them.

@just8littleBit I still remember my ICE trip in winter where the heating broke down and I got my warm wool blanket out. The conductor was surprised why I had that, and I smiled that I was a frequent customer. ^^

Dont know about now but in 2018 in the SBBs IRs they shut the ACs down (at 39C) to spend less and improve their profits. It was packed, people were standing all the way through the wagons. I’m surprised they didn’t start corona.

On the other hand, now in 🇮🇪 I’m always there 20m early because one of the 2 daily busses might arrive early and leave early so I’ll miss it if I’m on time😂

@just8littleBit Well the ICE ACs also shut down in summer because they are misdesigned. It's OK that they can only generate so much difference in temperature, but if the outside temperature is excessive (read: summer, right when you need the AC!), they will instead shut down completely. Piece of shit tech.

@just8littleBit Also the half fare card can cost 85, 100, 165 or 185CHF depending on some random Bullshit! And even with that some routes have weird pricing. Luzern-Zug costs the same as Luzern-Fribourg despite it being pretty much three times the distance.
