Why is javascript such an ugly language :/ It's pure chaos and it's not fun to read.

    Uh-oh. You must be new here. Some JS guys will be out in full force soon to defend it 😉

    Sounds like he's reading a callback chain.

    It is true that JS is a chaos because TC39 is constantly adding new community syntax so that people don't have to deal with its quirks like coercion and this.

    @AlmondSauce I don't doubt it haha. I just really don't get it...

    @SortOfTested No troll! 😇

    @Rayiik I assumed it was a flat out troll. That's even worse 😂

    It depends. My code from when I was a student? Totally. My code nowadays? It’s fine.

    Because it's used by ugly people

    No no, he's right. JS was originally a moleman conspiracy, it's original dev team consisted of batboy and the elephant man.

    THAT'S WHY IT'S FUN

    WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU FOOLISH KID???

    We make it better every year, at least how good we can regarding our past faults and mislead influence.

    Additionally, it’s partially every one else‘s fault because every other language begs to replace it with their own „fun“ language, but in the end, those guys just made everything worse in our ecoworld.

    Amidst the carnage and chaos of the devil's script will one forge the weapon of wielding the frontend war.

    The lords atop the Mountain of the Views in the fabled land of California will for it to be so.

    So long so they remain unchallenged, we must bow to their twisted whims and games.

    not that I like javascript but hell at least it ain't python

    @Rayiik That's fine, not everyone gets everything. I don't get why people use Facebook products or windows.... but people do.

    I like the language!

    it depends, I have seen ugly code in all languages, even the ones that are supposed to be "beautiful".

    But callback chains are scary and fucky and make kitty cry.

    Man you’re an absolute blast to bring at parties

    @LotsOfCaffeine now why would you attack python right away like this? :D

    Malbolge >= JS

    As with anything... you get used to it. It’s not my favorite language by any means, but no one would know given how often I use it. Once you understand the behaviors that seem really counterintuitive and insanity-producing, it’s easier, because you brush up against the insanity less.
