Get a refurbished model from a few years ago. Still great machines and they have all the ports you'll actually use!

Hackintosh some pc and dual-boot with Linux. Can't go wrong

I do dislike the Apple philosophy about its products, but macOS seems to get the job done.

But at the same time I don't get the idea about dualbooting. Why use two OSs?

I only see it required in very specific scenarios, and usually it's about lack of support
