    @heyheni This sounds vaguely familiar....

    @C0D4 very cool! 😊

    @heyheni it still does nothing. 😆

    But there's been a few moments over the years we could have used a well worded bot for this.

    @C0D4 Are you going to reactivate ur bot?

    @Eklavya I never did write that welcome message 🤷‍♂️

    https://github.com/C0D4-101/...

    @AtuM I agree, but unless a bot scrapes for new posts and finds a green dot which will need some valid rules for that one. For example: First post, 0++, etc.

    Which makes it still an on demand bot.
    Not every green dot needs a welcome message.

    We want to discourage those posts, helping them isn't the solution

    @AtuM If Discord Counts as IRC, we have one,

    @theabbie think about it, if the first interaction with devRant is extremely negative. Would that encourage people to stay at this hostile place?

    Even you had your experience with your creepy personal data schoolgirl leak but you're still here? Why? Because we're nice to each other here.

    The suggested welcome bot would give an guidance for newcommers without beeing arogant or mean.

    @heyheni I won't say DR was very nice to me, I stayed because I didn't want to leave with bad reputation, and I hate losing.

    On the other note, people who join and immediately ask homework question aren't here to stay, and even if a generic bot helps them, they will feel it's okay to ask it here and they won't stop.
