C0D4668813yIt's fairly standard to see Sunday first.
You just change if it's digital to be Mon - Sun or Mon-Fri if you can control the work week aswell. -
In Europe it's unheard of to have a calendar that has Sunday as the first day of week. The first time you find out that Americans do that is a moment of disbelief.

10Dev28533y@electrineer I’m a mostly proud American and even I think Monday should come first. It’s the logical start of the week

Hazarth95483yThis whole thing is a mess,. But the idea of saturday being the end of the week I believe comes from Religion. In the Genesis book god rested on the 7th day, which was revealed to be Sabbath (Saturday). However there are only a couple real mentions of sabbath in the scriptures and the whole question about what is actually the end of the week is a hot mess. Christians later moved it to sunday apparently. The end of the week greatly depends on what religion flavor formed each country.
I'd argue that since pretty much everyone is using mon-fri work weeks, the most up-to-date version should be that monday is the first day and sunday the last, but alas, we can't expect this to change universally any time soon -
It is good UX if this can be changed and defaults to the user's locale, it is bad UX if otherwise.

In Brazil every calendar starts on Sunday, as it is considered the first day if the week.

Genuine question for Sunday-first peeps. 🤔
Is your mental image of a week similar to this:
Every week I take a day off, then go to work for five days and then take another day off before starting the next week.

Is a calendar view that starts on a Monday column a bad or unusual UX? I'm used to seeing Sunday on the leftmost and Saturday on the rightmost. I'm not sure about other cultures. It's one of my tasks at work. Thank you.
