Dev: Sigh…. So then create a ticket for it

Manager: Can’t you just fix it right now?

Dev: I can but I’m currently working on that other issue you told everyone was “top priority” at the morning status meeting. Should I switch to actioning this minor bug instead?

Did you know that workflows like ticket creation and letting people work without interruptions make people work faster? Amazing studies have proven this.

@IntrusionCM his manager is a complete and total dumbass. He’s probably worse than most of the idiots that are ranted about here. I saw his other rants and his manager doesn’t even understand the concept of a vacation, so things like tickets and not interrupting will be total rocket surgery to this fuckup

It’s from all the crayons he stuffed up his nose. The fumes caused mini strokes in his brain which eventually lead him to weird decisions like LETS HAVE A MEETING FOR UM REASONS! LIBRARIES MAKE DEVS USELESS! LOOK AT ME IM EDWARD CRAYON NOSE HANDS!

    "Just multitask and work faster"
Genius! Why didn’t other people think of this simple trick?

    My boss was like
"If you are good a programmer you shoild be done with this in an hours time"

Task: Building a custom queueing system from ground up
    Task duration: 1 month
    Current-progress: 99%
Time-line: 2 weeks in the project

So just say in a professional manner: "No, I won't."

Essentially this is an accusation that you are not working to the best of your ability now.
