nitnip18143yClosed Source propaganda. A more accurate depiction would just be an older car. They WERE fixable before.

hjk10157313yPretty sure that if you look at the code the open source one looks like a clean tape line car drawing and the closed source line a kids drawing of a bike with bells and whistles.
Also this example was chosen badly

scor38043yBest thing is :
Elon Musk largely open sourced a good swab of codebase a looong time ago.
Ergo : Tesla itself rather stands as an open source example.

.. Profit. -
arekxv10543yYeah... and guess what is ironic? Software/hardware which is "closed source" use libs like libcurl, libpng, libjpeg... guess what those are? What about C++ std library? Open source is everywhere and everyone is using it. Closed source are just being elitist about their product while they use open source in the background and often violating GPL licenses.

A standard installation of Mint without any manual tweaks is disproportionately faster and more stable than Windows. If a Linux installation is slower than Windows or less stable (mind you, it's hardly ever both) that's because the user deliberately gave up performance or stability in exchange for something else (typically unmatched flexibility).
