@Demolishun Actually, I'm debuging a thing at home. Notr work related.
So, got new ISP. I have 1 Gb down, 750 Mbits UP.
ISP test : Confirms (Even 1.1 Gb)
Linux machine on the ETH port of thier "box" : 940 mbtis. Fine.
Windows machine, same cable : YOLO : 198 mbit, but network card is synced at 2.5 Gbps lol.
Same windows machine in wifi : 650 Mbits.
So I'm testing boot linux on that windows machine to see if it's hardware issue or soft. -
I once made a Linux script that built a squash fs image by chrooting into the uncompressed structure setting up the links and installing packages using apt and then recompressing it into a the isolinux structure and making a new iso
It was so awesome
Mother Nature remains crazy as do all these people on a lighter note and the poncho is better than I remember it lol -
j0n4s54342yFun fact everytime i run speedtest i get 0 ping even though my connection is via lan to a router that connects to another wifi haha

@NoToJavaScript holy wtf is wrong with winblows? Last night I tested speedtest and got like 300MB down and 1GB up. Shitty driver update?

max199313732y@NoToJavaScript wifi and Windows are both limiting factors.
Win has small TCP Window because RAM limit. Don't ask why.
Wifi is just RF channel density issues. -
max199313732y@p100sch install CDN nodes from akamai, netflix, google, Facebook, fastly, etc on site and get similar results.
Aka get their servers locally deployed. -
@Demolishun Apprently i's the network card.
It's a 2.5 Gbit NIC from Intell on Asus mother board.
I found a very lonmg duscussion on reddit on how it doesn't work
But it works on Linux pretty good, just not windows 11.
I have a BIOS update, will try it
Ahahaha.
I'm creating a "bring with you" Linux install. So I got a 512 GB USB key. (You know, to even have some persistance).
Linux flashing tool : are you sure ?
Fun :)
