!Rant

Yes, I know I'm shameless, but here we go:

Are there any norwegian devs out there that are looking for a new colleague (webdev)? :D
I'm going to be out of work in a few months time, and have started applying for jobs in the Oslo area, but most jobs I see listed require 3+ years of experience. I've worked with web for about 9 months and I'm keen to get more experience. Interested in a full time job or being a trainee.

Proficient in HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript/jQuery, PHP, Wordpress, MySQL.

If yoy know anything, please let me know :)

That 3+ years of experience is nonsense, don't let it stop you from applying.

@nickpapoutsis Thank you for the advice :)
It's so easy to ignore a job listing just because you're not fulfilling one of the requirements. Gotta work on that I guess.

I hope they wouldn't ask you about linked list 😁😁😁

@JTBringe If you know about half the stuff they ask for then apply but be ready to show something that proves you know the important stuff and are ready to learn the rest.

If you have a portfolio improve it.
    If don't, build one.
    Aim for diversity, not perfection.

Your portfolio page should be perfect (if you are front end), just like your CV.

It's awful to read a CV and find spelling and layout mistakes that could have been caught in seconds, if anyone had bothered to go over it just ones.

Whenever I see such obvious mistakes I am like "You worthless piece of shit, you don't have a job, what the hell are you doing all day and can't find the time to fix your fucking excuse of a CV?"
There have been times I almost deleted the dann CV without even checking it because of this.

Just so you know how (some) people on the other side might see things.

@nickpapoutsis Thank you, this is really solid advice. I'll keep it in mind :)
