I started with java, so i'm used to the second one. -

Andand08yUsed to do the first, switched to the second. I don't wanna "waste" a physical line for a single character (more lines means more scrolling), and I think it's just as readable because the indentation is the same

Irrelevant what you prefer, do what the team does.
Which will be the first style in most coding standards. -
