Interestingly, null is a value that represents a missing value. But it’s still a value. Kotlin (and other programming languages) has a Nothing type that truly represents nothing. It’s a type that has no values. You can’t pass Nothing nor return Nothing. But you can pass or return null. So, we have Nothing to thank for nothing. Null is just nothing but something. 🙂
