@kvsjxd because they were idiots. They also enforced that every root of every c drive on the network was shared with the "everyone" group. I challenged the idiot that worked there he said "oh that's fine. It's really convenient when I need to fix something. Who would want to hack into us?". This is at a company that did cad design for major manufacturers, government contracts, assembly lines, etc. That was the dumbest person I've ever met in my life.
